The Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A president Stephan Winkelmann said: "Reventon is the most extreme vehicle built by Lamborghini; the Lamborghini Style Center designers took the technique part from the Murcielago LP640 model".

Lamborghini Reventon was designed in Sant'Agata Bolognese, the place where Lamborghini and the house of super cars which have the bull sign were born. Only the 20 collectors and the constructor's friends will have the chance to buy and to be in one.

The name Reventon was chosen according to the Lamborghini tradition. Reventon was the name of a bull from the Rodriguez family which fought with the Felix Guzman bull in the year 1943, defeating him.

The design of the Reventon model from Lamborghini was inspired from the aeronautics field, and especially from the modern airplanes where the speed and the dynamics are very important. Like the LP640 model on which is based on, Reventon has its body built from composite materials and carbon fiber. The doors use the LSD opening system. The special design was chosen for great aerodynamics which guaranties a top speed of 340 km/h. For stopping in maximum security conditions the brake discs are made of ceramic materials.

Besides the fact that it holds the best characteristics from Murcielago LP640, Reventon brings other improvements to the engine cooling system, the air intake and the braking system. The front optic block use the Bi-Xenon technology and diodes, the LED technology ensures the day light thanks to 7 led lights. The rear lights are using the same technology, offering a unique light effect. The color for the 20 models is a opaque one, a combination of green and gray, without gloss, lustreless. Thanks to the iron particles, this paint has a different tone in the day light. The rims have the same finishing.

The unique design applied to the exterior is also found in the interior. Alcantara leather, carbon, aluminium and leather combinations in the interior. The LCD TFT display resembles the one of the modern airplanes. The driver can choose between two different technique data display modes on this display. The Formula 1 teams use the same display to analyse the dynamics in the race.

The gear box commands are done with the help of two flaps which are placed under the steering wheel. All the electronics of the Reventon model was developed at the Lamborghini Engineering Department. The whole project was developed in less than a year. The jump from the blue prints was made quickly to the 3D computer models and then to the 1:10 and 1:4 scale real models. The engine has remained the same like the LP640: 6.5 liter V12, 650 bhp @ 8000 rpm and 660 N/m. The gear changing is made very quick. It has four wheel drive. It takes 3.4 sec. to go from 0-100 km/h and the top speed is 340 km/h.
