BMW surprised everyone at the Shanghai Auto Show by proving to everyone that they can be a major "player" in the 4 door coupe market, which is practically "owned" by Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin and Porsche. They presented the all new BMW CS concept model.
The CS concept model is expected to appear in the BMW's 8th series. BMW CS Concept has the new platform from the 7th series, the length and width are a few centimeters larger than the current 7th series models, although the height was lowered to give it a sporty look.
Mercedes-Benz started the "madness" with its 4 door coupe sedan, the new CLS model, but the concept presented by BMW is bigger and more expensive for sure, competing with Aston Martin Rapide or with the Porsche Panamera.
Through the CS, BMW is presenting the vision of a unique model which combines the exclusivity and the luxury of a "grand turismo" with the performances of a sports car. BMW CS concept is a new definition for design. Concentrating the power, expressive style, high quality materials and perfect shape, this unique model offers a completely different interpretation for the "premium" quality.
When it comes to the interior, BMW CS concept, combines the stylish luxury with unique "ambiance", classy and valuable.
If we combine the interior and the exterior, BMW CS concept is sending the same message: From now, the experience of driving a luxury sedan has new dimensions.
According to some inside sources, a production version of the CS concept will be expected at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show.
